Just four days after proposing to Cam, we already have a date set, and coordinated that date with our first choices for ceremony and reception locations. That was way too easy. To be fair, we already knew (basically) where we wanted to get married. And Cam had a pretty solid idea for a time of year. So that meant we only needed to contact our first two choices and determine what dates were available.

The ceremony will be held on July 29, 2006 at the Main Post Chapel, and the reception at the Golden Gate Club, both in San Francisco’s historic Presidio National Park. The GGC is literally 50 yards down the hill from the chapel. So the transition from the ceremony to the reception will be simple and painless.

We’re both so excited that the chapel and the club are available the same day. Apparently both of them get booked quickly, especially during Summer months. I attended church at this chapel for a couple years soon after I moved to San Francisco. And two of our good friends, Jason and Megan, got married in the same chapel a few years ago. So aside from it’s gorgeous setting, it’s a special place.

And wait ’till you see the Golden Gate Club, and the ginormous windows in the Ventanna Room!
