As a parent, I want nothing but the best for my child. I make sure my child is happy and healthy. One of her favorite things to do in the morning is brush her teeth. She would brush her teeth all day if we let her. So you can imagine my shock when I took Emma to the dentist and heard she has not one, but TWO cavities. How is this possible?
I was told that it either happened in the womb from malnutrition or an illness before she was 3 months old. Unfortunately, I was sick 7 out of 9 months of my pregnancy. This is where malnutrition might have come in. Top that off with Em having “hand, foot, mouth” along with a 104-106 fever at 3 months old and the girl didn’t stand a chance. Soft teeth it is.
Emma was awesome at the dentist. She had a full exam, xrays, and cleaning. She managed to come home with several stickers and a magic wand.
I cried like a baby.
Today we go in for two fillings.
I’m going to cry even more!
